From Education
This course wil facilitate the integration of computational sciences tools into Principles of Genetics. This will help update the course to allow the inclusion of more modern tools. Students will be able to share wiki pages.
The other goal is to use this course to prepare for an intensive course given by National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). I want to be competent in computional techniques. These general techniques are useful for any discipline. I have access the the NC Bioportal for storing and managing data, but I need better techniques at a basic level.
- The Drosophila's contribution to Genetics research
- Genotype and phenotype labs
- Mating, phenotyping and data analysis lab
