Directions for using the eXplorist 100 GPS
The middle button on the left side of the GPS is to change navigation views. By pressing this button you will cycle through the different views. There are 4 views you can see by using this button.
- The positions of satellites relative to you.
- Your current location and any nearby marked points
- A Compass
- Information about your current location (Latitude, Longitude, etc.)
Marking Your Current Location
While at the location you want to mark, press the mark button on the GPS. The mark button is located on the left side at the bottom. When you create a new mark you have the ability to change the icon, name, or add a message to the location. Use the joystick just under the screen to navigate through these fields and press the enter button (also the joystick) to edit the space. When you are finished navigate to the save button and press enter.
Viewing Marked Locations
To view all of your marked locations press the menu button on the GPS, located on the right side in the middle. navigate to "My Pts of Interest" in the menu and press enter. Choose whether you'd like to see them by distance or alphabetically and press enter. Now all of your points should be listed and by navigating to the point and pressing enter you are able to edit, delete, or view the point.
